15 Month Old Bull #20x35
This bull’s tag number is 20x35. He is red and is homozygous polled. Born (April 27th of 2020), bred and raised on KY31 fescue with no supplements in Southern Missouri.
On a scale of 1-10, 10 being extremely docile, I gave him a docility score of 6, from working him through our pens.
He was average among his contemporary group for our one year “height to weight ratio” ranking. I call it an "8 in 5" ranking, named after Johann Zeitsman's illustration of "8 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound package."
If one were to go by Igenity Lab’s DNA profile probabilities for millions of DNA submissions, the birth weight of his calves will be average, the likelihood for his calves to be born without assistance is much better than average and the likelihood for his daughters to calve their first calf unassisted is slightly better than average.
20x35’s sire is #1737, a red bull we raised that exhibited early maturing traits and high testosterone. As a two year old he bred the 2nd most females out of the whole bull battery that year.
20x35’s dam, a red cow #1448, is a registered South Poll Cow (waiting on her Reg#). She is 7 years old this year. She has had 6 great calves in those 7 years and has a great udder. She earned our designation of a “2+3” cow, which means she had her first two calves within three years of her birth. And she bred back and calved her 2nd calf within a year of her first calf on KY31 fescue without supplement.
Price includes Trich test and breeding soundness exam.
20x35 is eligible to be registered as 1/4 blood. We can register him with the South Poll Association for you for $200.
